In Loving Memory

When his wife of almost 51 years, Gwen, passed away in July 2008 her family created a website in her memory. Now that Arthur has joined her they shall be together again for eternity. This website has therefore been created as a tribute to the man that hundreds of children knew as “Uncle Arthur”.
Arthur was a very kind and giving man, always ready to help, and will be remembered as one of the pillars of the Belfast Jewish Community and for his untiring volunteer work in Israel. He was always the “Go to” guy, and like Gwen has touched countless lives over the years.
Many of the friends that attended his funeral have only known Arthur since he came to Israel in 1981 and will only remember how he was in his latter years. Although we don’t have many photographs from his childhood, this website is a small insight into the person that Arthur was, the Cub Scout leader, the Vespa lover, the Freemason, the book lover, the loving husband, father and grandfather, the volunteer English assistant and the prolific Limerick writer.
Please read the About page for further insight into his life.
